Caziah Self, 23, of Ellsworth, was arrested on November 20, 2024, at approximately 12:00 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.
Self was charged with distribution of a controlled substance causing death, use of a communication facility in the commission of a felony drug violation, and distribution of opiate/opium/stimulant/heroin dosage < 10 units.
The apprehension stems from an incident that occurred in June of 2023 wherein law enforcement officers investigated the overdose death of a 25-year-old individual in Manhattan, Kansas.
Total bond was set at $100,000. Self is currently confined at the Riley County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with relevant information is urged to come forward. The investigation into this and all other Fentanyl-related overdoses remain active and ongoing. Any individuals possessing pertinent information are urged to come forward and assist law enforcement authorities.
