Oliver was arrested on the probable cause offenses of distribution of a controlled substance causing great bodily harm and aggravated battery- recklessly causing great bodily harm. Total bond was set at $150,000. Oliver is currently confined.
This arrest stems from an incident that occurred in August of 2022 where officers responded to a report of an unconscious 22-year-old male. Through the course of the investigation it was learned the victim had ingested a Fentanyl laced pill causing him to go into respiratory arrest.
The investigation is ongoing. Investigations into all other Fentanyl-related overdoses in our community remain active and ongoing as well. Any individuals possessing pertinent information are urged to come forward and assist law enforcement authorities.
