As officers began moving south down the walkway, they noticed two vehicles leaving the scene; one fled at a high rate of speed while the driver of the other was successfully detained without incident.
A crime scene was quickly established and officers discovered a spent shell casing with no reported injuries. Officers located the second vehicle that earlier fled the scene. No arrests have been made at this time. There is no indication that suggests the community at large was targeted in this incident.
