Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of rape in the 2800 block of Allison Ave. on July 26, 2024, at approximately 10:38 AM. Due to the nature of this crime, no other information will be released at this time.

Officers filed a report of felony theft and trespass in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. on July 26, 2024, at approximately 5:15 PM.  Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when it was reported two known suspects left the property without paying for approximately $2,400 worth of merchandise.

Officers filed a report of domestic aggravated assault on July 26, 2024, at approximately 9:15 PM in Manhattan.  Officers listed a 25-year-old male as the victim when it was reported during an argument a known 29-year-old female held a gun to his neck. Due to the nature of this report, no other details will be released at this time.

Officers filed a report of aggravated battery at 12th Street and Laramie on July 26, 2024, at 11:54 PM.  Officers listed a 24-year-old male as the victim when it was reported the victim had been involved in an altercation with three known males and suffered injuries as a result.  The victim was transported to Via Christi via EMS and was later transported to Stormont Vail for treatment of his injuries.

Officers filed a report of an injury accident in the 1100 block of Yuma on July 27, 2024, at approximately 1:01 AM.  Officers report that a vehicle lost control striking a house and continued into another house where it came to rest on top of an occupant of the residence.  The 23-year-old victim was extracted from under the vehicle and transported via EMS to Via Christi for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries. 

Michael Cortez, 40, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 26, 2024, at approximately 6:14 AM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.  Cortez was arrested on a Riely County District Court warrant for probation violation, disorderly conduct, and battery. Total bond was set at $20,750. Cortez was confined at the time of this report.

Robert Robles, 40, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 26, 2024, at approximately 2:20 PM in the 1100 block of Moro Street.  Robles was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear x 2 and violation of a protection order. Total bond was set at $7,000. Robles was confined at the time of this report.

Thomas Quinn, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 26, 2024, at approximately 8:48 PM in the 1400 block of College Ave.  Quinn was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated criminal sodomy, rape x 22, aggravated indecent liberties with a child (intercourse) x 17, abuse of a child x 2 (impede breathing), aggravated battery x 16, aggravated indecent liberties with a child (fondle) x 20, indecent liberties with a child x 17, and abuse of a child (torture or cruelly beat), Total bond was set at $250,000. Quinn was confined at the time of this report.

Gretchen Roark, 50, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 27, 2024, at approximately 2:35 AM in the 1700 block of Rockhill Road.  Roark was arrested for the probable cause offenses of driving under the influence- 4th or subsequent conviction and aggravated battery DUI. Total bond was set at $15,000. Roark was not confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of aggravated assault on July 27, 2024, at approximately 2:58 PM.  Officers listed a 30-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 40-year-old female known to the victim threatened to harm the victim with a knife. 

Officers filed a report of criminal destruction of property in the 3000 block of Tuttle creek Blvd on July 28, 2024m at approximately 5:31 PM.  Officers listed a 35-year-old male as the victim when it was reported his Nissan Rogue was damaged by an unknown suspect. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $1,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of domestic aggravated battery, aggravated battery, and theft in Manhattan on July 29, 2024, at approximately 12:18 AM.  Due to the nature of this incident, no other information will be released at this time.
