Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of burglary in the 2500 block of Stagg Hill Road on July 18, 2024, at approximately 7:43 AM.  Officers report 10 Units at the Self- Storage were broken into. The investigation into the total amount lost is ongoing. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of forgery in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd on July 18, 2024, at approximately 2:41 PM.  Officers listed Valley Metals as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect fraudulently cashed sixteen (16) checks on their account without permission. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $17,080. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of Fort Riley Blvd and Richards Dr. on July 18, 2024, at approximately 8:19 PM.  Officers report the accident involved a single vehicle, a Nissan sedan, had left the roadway and collided with a pole. The driver, Jason Mendoza, 22, of Fort Riley was transported via EMS to Via Christi for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
