Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft on July 11, 2024, at approximately 7:41 AM in the 400 block of Walters Drive. Officers listed a 32-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her Chrysler Town and Country was taken overnight by an unknown suspect. Officers were able to track the vehicle to a hit in Dickinson County and eventually the vehicle was tracked to Wichita where it was recovered.
Officers filed a report of an injury accident in the 6400 block of Skyway Drive on July 11, 2024, at approximately 2:41 PM. Officers report the accident involved a single motorcycle and listed a 21-year-old male as the victim. Luiz Hill was transported via EMS to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries.
Officers filed a report of an injury accident in the 17600 block of Barton Road in Leonardville on July 11 at approximately 3:52 PM. Officers reported the accident as a single vehicle roll-over accident. The driver, Sarah Ingalls, 18, was transported via EMS to Via Christi for non life-threatening injuries.
Joseph Stepney, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 11, 2024, at approximately 2:22 PM in the 1300 block of Houston Street. Stepney was arrested on probable cause offenses of violation of the offender registration act (2nd conviction) x 2, failure to appear x 2, interference with an LEO, and use/possess with the intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body. Total bond was set at $55,000. Stepney was confined at the time of this report.
