Manhattan, Kan. -
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Hunting Avenue in Manhattan on December 19, 2023, around 3:19 PM. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 2001 White Toyota Highlander driven by Benen Joyce, 15, of Manhattan crashed with a 2010 red Toyota Yaris driven by Jane Mead, 79, of Manhattan. Mead was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Joyce was issued a notice to appear for failure to stop or yield at a stop sign and driving in violation of a restriction.
Officers filed a report for aggravated assault near the intersection of East Riley Avenue and Fort Riley Boulevard in Ogden on December 19, 2023, around 3:30 PM. Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect drove up next to the victim, yelled and pointed a handgun towards her. Officers filed a report for theft in Ogden on December 19, 2023, around 5:39 PM. Officers listed a 22-year-old male as the victim when he reported a known female suspect took his 12 gauge pump action shotgun. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,200. Due to the nature of the crime reported (domestic), no additional information will be released.
