Manhattan, Kan. -

On March 12th 2025, at approximately 3:18pm officers filed a report of rape in Manhattan. Due to the nature of this report no other details will be reported at this time.

Colton Gardiner, 33, of Manhattan was arrested on March 12th 2025, at approximately 9:33am in the 3000 block of Claflin Rd. Gardiner was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  Total Bond was set at $5,000.  Gardiner was confined at the time of this report.

Eli Smith, 22, of Manhattan was arrested on March 12th 2025, at approximately 11:21am in the 1000 block of Seth Child Rd.  Smith was arrested on Manhattan Municipal Court and Riley District Court warrants for failure to Appear x3 and parole violation.  The original charges for the failure to appears were theft x2, possession of methamphetamine, and driving while suspended/revoked.  Total Bond was set at $12,750.  Smith was confined at the time of this report.
