Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed reports of theft between the dates of December 21- January 2, 2025, in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when it was reported a known subject stole approximately $1,200 worth of merchandise. 

Thomas Scripter, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested on January 14, 2025, at approximately 4:30 PM in the 3000 block of Anderson Ave.  Scripter was arrested for the probable cause offenses of driving under the influence- 4th or subsequent conviction and failure to have an ignition interlock device. Total bond was set at $8,000. Scripter was not confined at the time of this report.
