Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of theft on August 16, 2024, at approximately 9:29 AM in the 4400 block of Grande Bluffs Court. Officers listed a 50-year-old male as the victim when it was reported $2,500 was taken from his residence on August 8, 2024 by an unknown suspect. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of rape in Manhattan on August 16, 2024, at approximately 1:13 PM. Due to the nature of this crime, no other information will be released at this time.

Officers filed a report of robbery, motor vehicle theft, and battery on August 17, 2024, at approximately 2:23 AM.  Officers listed a 27-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a group of individuals approached the victim, battered her, took her property to include her car keys and threatened her before leaving the area. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Armando Gonzalez, 42, of Chapman, was arrested on August 16, 2024, at approximately 9:30 AM in the 2400 block of Milford Lake Road. Gonzalez was arrested for forgery x 3, theft by deception x 3, and making false information x 3. Total bond was set at $12,000. Gonzalez was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of battery on an LEO, criminal destruction of property, and interference with an LEO on August 17, 2024, at approximately 11:43 PM in the 1100 block of Moro.  Officers listed a 34-year-old male and a 32-year-old female officer as the victims. Marcos Salmeron, 21, of Fort Riley, was arrested for the aforementioned charges. Total bond was set at $5,000. Salmeron was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of an injury accident, DUI, aggravated battery, and interference with an LEO on August 18, 2024, at approximately 1:18 AM in the 300 block of N. 9th Street.  Officers listed a 21-year-old male as the victim when it was reported the suspect lost control of his vehicle which collided with three parked vehicles. Devin Phelps, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1100 block of Fremont Street in connection with this report. Total bond was set at $7,000. Phelps was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft in the 1500 block of Leavenworth Street on August 18, 2024, at approximately 1:09 PM.  Officers listed a 22-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her Prius was taken overnight by an unknown suspect. Total estimated loss associated with this report is approximately $10,000.Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of domestic violence theft and intimidation of a witness in Manhattan on August 18, 2024, at approximately 2:22 PM.  Due to the nature of this crime, no other information will be released at this time.
