Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report of criminal destruction of property in the 1200 block of Bertrand Street on July 19, 2024, at approximately 2:48 PM.  Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a known suspect poured glue all over his vehicle, and others' vehicles. Total loss associated with this report at this time is approximately $2,700.

Michael Brooks, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 19, 2024, at approximately 10:05 AM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza.  Brooks was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for violation of a protection order.  Total bond was set at $10,000. Brooks was confined at the time of this report.

Jon Marte, 26, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 19, 2024, at approximately 5:20 PM in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road.  Marte was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  The original charge in this matter was for residential burglary. Total bond was set at $10,000. Marte was not confined at the time of this report.

David Combs, 56, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 19, 2024, once at 9:10 PM and again at 10:03 PM.  Combs was arrested on the probable cause offenses of criminal damage to property x 4 value $1,000- $25,000, criminal damage to property <$1,000, and assault. Total bond for both arrests was set at $10,000. Combs was confined at the time of this report.

Stephen Gassett, 37, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 20, 2024, at approximately 12:55 AM in the 1700 block of Plymouth Road.  Gassett was arrested on probable cause offenses of domestic battery x 2 and interference with an LEO x 2. Total bond was set at $8,000. Gassett was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of burglary in on July 20, 2024, at approximately 11:17 AM in the 3100 block of Anderson Ave.  Officers listed Dairy Queen as the victim when it was reported an unknown subject enter the business over night, entered the safe, and took $1,886. Officers filed a report of felony criminal destruction of property on July 20, 2024, at approximately 7:09 PM in the 600 block of Bluemont Ave.  Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when it was reported his 2014 Chevy Camaro was vandalized. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $2,700. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report of aggravated assault and simple battery on July 21, 2024, at approximately 2:40 AM in the 3000 block of Kimball Ave.  Officers listed a 20-year-old female as the victim when a known suspect allegedly pulled a gun on the victim pointing it at her as well as shoved her to the ground during an argument. 

Officers filed a report of vehicle burglary on July 21, 2024, at approximately 4:40 PM in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd.  Officers listed a 24-year-old as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and took her wallet as well as military gear among other items. Her credit cards were subsequently used in various establishment resulting in an estimated loss of $1,400.Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report of aggravated battery on July 21, 2024, at approximately 8:06 PM at the intersection of N. 14th Street and Poyntz. Officers listed a 28-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown male in a pick-up drove up behind him on his bicycle running the victims wife off the road and striking the victim's left arm. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Adrian Vasquez, 21, of Fort Riley, was arrested on July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:44 PM in the 200 block of Custer Ave, Fort Riley, KS. Vasquez was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated domestic battery x 4, aggravated assault x 2, and domestic battery x 2. Total bond was set at $20,000. Vasquez was not confined at the time of this report.

William Henson, Jr., 52, was arrested on July 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00 PM in the 1500 block of Oxford Place. Henson was arrested on the probable cause offense of domestic battery. Total bond was set at $5,000. Henson was confined at the time of this report.
