Manhattan, Kan. -

Officers filed a report for aggravated battery and battery in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on February 14, 2024, around 11:23 AM. A 14-year-old male and a 36-year old female were listed as the victims when it was reported a 15 year-old male engaged in an altercation with the 14-year-old. A school employee attempted to intervene and was battered in the process. Due to the age of the subject, no other information will be released at this time.

Brian Droge, 43, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 1600 block of Osage Street in Manhattan on February 14, 2024, around 11:09 PM. Droge was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charges were for burglary, theft of property or services x 2, vehicular burglary, and driving while cancelled/suspended/revoked. Droge was issued a total bond of $2,000 and was confined at the time of this report. 

Nicole Mallett, 41, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 800 block of Dondee Drive Manhattan on February 14, 2024, around 10:27 PM. Mallett was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated assault; use of a deadly weapon x 2. Mallett was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was not confined at the time of this report.
