Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of North 4th Street and Vattier Street in Manhattan on October 19, 2023, around 3:58 PM. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2012 Kia driven by Carla Figueroa, 33, of Manhattan had crashed with a 1999 GMC Jimmy driven by Joyce Todd, 69, of Manhattan. Figueroa was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. Two passengers in the Kia were transported to Via Christi for treatment of their injuries.
Officers filed a report for domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery in Manhattan on October 19, 2023, around 11:18 PM. Latorris Franklin, 44, of Manhattan was arrested in connection. Franklin was arrested on probable cause charges of domestic battery, aggravated domestic battery, and driving while license canceled/suspended/revoked. Franklin was issued a total bond of $10,000. Franklin was confined at the time of this report.
