The Riley County Jail is a state-of-the-art facility that uses direct supervision where the Correctional Officers are in with the inmates. The jail has 7 separate pods where inmates are housed. After completion of a new wing, the jail now has a total capacity of 147 people. The Riley County Jail is staffed with about 37 Correctional Officers, up to 10 Correctional Supervisors, 2 Cooks, 1 Nurse, and 1 Secretary. All staff members are committed to offering the highest degree of professional care, custody, and control.

All visitors must remember that visitation is a privilege, not a right. Anyone who violates visitation policy faces the possibility of having his/her visitation canceled for the day or possibly revoked permanently.
