August 20, 2014
On Friday August 22, 2014, the Riley County Police Department will conduct a MIP/MIC Saturation Patrol (minor in possession/minor in consumption). Officers involved in the Saturation Patrol will be enforcing alcohol laws related to underage drinking and taking the appropriate enforcement action.
The purpose of this program is to place additional officers in and around the Manhattan area with the goal of identifying underage alcohol consumption. This patrol is the second, in a series of four patrols which will be conducted this year. The Manhattan Area Risk Prevention Coalition (MARPC) with support by the Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership for Success II Grant is providing funding for these Saturation Patrols.
