August 11, 2014

On Friday, August 15, 2014 into Saturday, August 16, 2014, the Riley County Police Department will conduct a MIP/MIC Saturation Patrol.  Officers involved in the Saturation Patrol will be enforcing alcohol laws related to underage drinking and taking the appropriate enforcement action.

The purpose of this program is to place additional officers in and around the Manhattan area with the goal of identifying underage alcohol consumption.  This patrol is the first, in a series of four patrols which will be conducted this year.  The Manhattan Area Risk Prevention Coalition (MARPC) with support by the Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership for Success II Grant is providing funding for these Saturation Patrols.
