May 11th thru May 17th, 2014 is recognized as National Law Enforcement Memorial Week. The Riley County Police Department invites the public to join them and other area law enforcement agencies in honoring officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
This year’s memorial service will be held Friday, May 16th at 11:00a.m. in front of the Riley County Law Enforcement Center located at 1001 S. Seth Child Road in Manhattan, Kansas. Activities include the posting of the National Colors, comments by local dignitaries and the reading of the names of the law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in serving the citizens of Riley County.
This ceremony will also honor all employees of the Riley County Police Department that serve this community every day.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this ceremony and show their support for the department and honor our fallen heroes.
