MANHATTAN, KAN. – As a result of an ongoing investigation into multiple vehicle burglaries in the Manhattan area, RCPD has announced the successful arrests of two subjects believed to be responsible for victimizing over thirty community members since at least last month. On Friday, May 24, 2013, at approximately 03:15:00 AM officers responded to the area of the 2500 block of Farm Bureau Road for a report of vehicle burglary.

On Friday April 19, 2013 officers from the Riley County Police Department were dispatched to the 6000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. for an injury accident involving two vehicles. Through their preliminary investigation officers were able to determine that a car operated by fifty-one year old Carol Douglas of Manhattan drifted over the center line where it collided with a vehicle driven by thirty-seven year old Jason Ellis of Manhattan.
