Erin Freidline joined the Department in August 2000 as a Patrol Officer. She served in several capacities working all the various shifts including School Resource Officer, Detective, and the Special Investigations Unit. Erin was promoted to Sergeant and supervised both patrol and detectives. In 2013, she was promoted to Lieutenant and led the evening patrol shift before moving to Investigations to supervise detectives, CSI and Evidence.
In 2018, Erin promoted to Captain and serves as the Commander of the Support Division.
Erin was raised in Illinois and attended Kansas State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She later earned a master’s degree in Executive Leadership from Liberty University. She is a graduate of the 264th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia where she received advanced training in management and command. Erin was also selected as a National Institute of Justice LEADS scholar. Erin enjoys working on her hobby farm and spending time with her husband and three children.
